Impetus Dance believes everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves through dance. No boundaries. For all ages, abilities or how we identify ourselves.
Our innovative and unique approach teaches a variety of genres, including Latin and Ballroom, for inclusive and wheelchair dancers. We are a LGBTQ+ friendly community, and believe dance is for everyone.
We have attended World Para Dance accredited training, and work with Inclusive Dance UK, to ensure the growth of the sport in Wales. We are also affiliated with UKEDC, the UK Equality Dance Council and we are accredited by Disability Sport Wales as a Silver Awarded Club.

Our Story
Louise Bowman Director and Founder of Impetus Dance
Louise is an IDTA Associate Ballroom Dance teacher and a HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
With over 20 years’ experience of Latin and Ballroom, as an examination medallist, performance and competition level, her passion for dance and inclusivity is inspiring.
Having trained as a Wheelchair Dance Instructor with World Para Dance accredited trainers, and as an IDTA accredited Ballroom Associate teacher, Louise combined her professional and personal passions by establishing Impetus Dance in 2016. Louise works in partnership with Inclusive Dance UK to ensure the growth of the sport in Wales.
Louise believes that dance allows social inclusion, expression and movement but can also improve an individuals' health & well-being whilst promoting life skills to improve independence.
