Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
To find out further information about our sessions, therapy programmes, projects, clubs and services
To attend a face to face dance session or online session whether this is as a one off or on a regular basis
To become a regular member of the organisation
To enter a competition with the need for medical / ability and health information for classification reasons
To work as a volunteer with the organisation
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
Referrals from Leonard Cheshire Strictly Cymru Team and BING where permission from these parties and their members contact information has been shared for linking Impetus dance up with their members
From Para Dance UK (includes sharing of Para Dance UK competitive membership numbers, names and ages as well as defined classification for competition entry information)
We use the information that you have given us in order to
Keep you informed about sessions and events as well as share local activities that may interest you
To send you medals, certificates and activities within the post
To send you competitive membership numbers/ competition information and certificates as well as photographs from Welsh Competitive Team if appropriate
Sharing of members addresses for staff & volunteers to deliver equipment, activities, medals where appropriate and when they can not be posted
Impetus Dance will only pass your personal information onto a third party with your written permission first and in situations such as:
For competition entries where names, ages and ability classification is required
Sharing photos on social media after competitions or dance events to celebrate achievements
We may share this information with Para Dance UK or Leonard Cheshire Wales Strictly Cymru Team

Impetus dance relies on written consent to process personal information from each of its members. Members have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org notifying the team that they no-one wish to consent to allowing Impetus Dance to process their personal data.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored via paperwork format in a locked filing cabinet in a locked room at the business address. Email addresses are kept on email contacts lists and phone numbers stored in mobile phone which has a locked finger print access.
We keep names, addresses, email addresses, telephone contact numbers, competitive registration numbers, personal COVID risk assessment documents and health & ability questionnaires/information of all our members and volunteers for the time in which you remain a member/volunteer of the organisation or whilst we remain in contact with you till you request us to no longer be in contact with you. We will then dispose your information by shredding all paperwork and disposing of it in a safe manner or/& removing/deleting all documents of recognition from mobile phone device groups and from email contacts list.
